Your LA Lakers took it up a notch this past week in winning in impressive fashion over the top two teams in the East in Boston and Cleveland and obviously what made these wins particularly impressive was the fact that they did it without their starting center Andrew Bynum who's expected to be out for the rest of the season.

the play of Lamar Odom. If Lamar Odom can play the way he played yesterday against Cleveland then the LA Lakers are without a doubt the best team in the NBA. At the very least they're playing like the best team in the NBA right now.
Lamar Odom finished the night with 28 points and 17 boards and at 6'10 showed Clecveland why he can be such a match up problem for guards and forwards.
Also over the weekend the LA Lakers traded away shooting guard Vladimir Radmanovic to the Charlotte Bobcats for forward Adam Morrison and guard Shannon Brown...
Mitch Kupchack continues to surprise me as the General Manager for the LA Lakers because this is just another steal for the Lakers. Adam Morrison was a big time scorer while at Gonzaga but he missed all of the 07-08 season because of a knee injury and if you ask me the Bobcats are giving up way too early on this guy. Morrison averaged 11.8 points a game as a rookie and he's only 24 years old. Morrison is an excellent jump shooter and once he picks up the triangle he should give the LA Lakers an excellent scoring option off the bench.
Radmanovic never turned into the 3 point threat the lakers had hoped for and that role clearly now belongs to Sasha and that made him and his salary expendable.
